San Diego Weather Forecast and Weather Prediction

Delivering the San Diego weather forecast on the news seems to be the easiest job in San Diego, right?! Partly cloudy, high in the 60's, dipping to the mid 40's over-night. In the summer, the partly turns into fully sunny and high in the low 80's!

Ok, Chrissy from Fox 5 news does do a great job, along with her bubbly personality and yes, she is quite attractive, but weather prediction in San Diego is not comparable to New England! As meteorologist Mish Michaels will surely agree!

San Diego weather forecast varies between the coast and inland.

The Coastal towns such as La Jolla, Mission Beach, and Pacific Beach stay cooler than the inland neighborhoods. For example, the weather forecast for the coast may be up to 20 degrees cooler than Spring Valley, El Cajon, and Vista.

Downtown is on the Bay and remains quite warm during those long lazy summer days. The Inland valleys and Mountains of San Diego also reach high temperatures during the Summer with very low humidity - dry is an understatement!

Does It Actually Snow In San Diego?

Snow does happen in San Diego, but only at the higher altitudes! Big Bear and Mountain High are 21/2 hours away from Downtown (assuming no traffic of course) and gets dumped on in the winter.

Occasionally Mt Laguna has snow viewable from the downtown freeways - but it never stays white for very long!

The snow can reach down to as low as 4000 feet which brings out the lil' kid in all of us - snow angels, snowball fights, sledding, snowman making!
